Ice Cream
Cold, Creamy
Tastes Really Good
Happy, Satisfied, Joyful, Blessed
Bliss

Ice Cream is the perfect food, or whatever you want to call it.  It is very versatile because it can be sweet and salty, it's all in what you add to it.  There are hundreds of flavors but nothing will beat just plain chocolate.  We all have our favorites and just saying the word ice cream makes you smile. First, here is a little history about ice cream from the website, Ice Cream Alliance. (there is a website for every thing).   The earliest evidence of anything approaching ice cream being made was in China in the Tang period (A.D. 618-907). Buffalo, cows' and goats' milk was heated and allowed to ferment. This 'yoghurt' was then mixed with flour for thickening, camphor (yes camphor!) for flavour and 'refrigerated' before being served. King Tang of Shang had a staff of 2,271 people which included 94 ice-men. How did they come up with this recipe?  This does not sound like the ice cream that we eat today thank goodness.  It  has come a long way and brings joy to who ever eats it. It is what brings screams of joy when brought out at birthday parties.  Believe me I have thrown a lot of birthday parties and kids like ice cream a lot more than they do cake.  Over the years the cakes for my children's birthday parties have gotten smaller because of this knowledge.  The cakes are cool to look at but ice cream was always the favorite.  I have an ice cream recipe that I make with ice cream sandwiches, peanuts, fudge, caramel and cool whip that has been requested many times for the dinner parties that I go to. What is your favorite flavor that makes you happy every time you think about it?
